Squirt's Necklace is another interesting option, particularly for Diablo 4 Gold Sorceress builds that rely heavily on Barrier mechanics.
The trade-off between Barrier durability and offensive power can create significantly higher damage output for properly optimized Sorceress setups.
This opens the door to hybrid builds that combine strong defensive mechanics with much greater endgame damage than their Season 14 versions could achieve.
Arioc's Needle and The Furnace
Other new Unique items, including Arioc's Needle and The Furnace, also provide opportunities for previously niche builds.
Arioc's Needle can enhance Druid-focused Thorns concepts and other specialized setups, while The Furnace helps address single-target damage problems that have historically limited some off-meta builds.
Additional Unique items such as Messerschmidt's Reaver could further expand build diversity as players discover new interactions.
The Four Classes Avoided Major Season 15 Nerfs
Another important reason these classes are performing better is simple: most of them avoided devastating targeted nerfs.
Druid did receive an adjustment to its exceptionally powerful Stone setup, which could produce absurd damage multipliers under extreme conditions. Bringing that interaction down to a more reasonable level does not invalidate Druid as a whole.
Outside of targeted adjustments like this, most changes affecting these classes are relatively minor balance or quality-of-life updates.
More importantly, the broader Season 15 buffs compensate for many of the weaknesses that previously held these classes back.
As a result, players should not assume that an individual nerf automatically makes an entire class weak.
Torment 12 Is the Real Test
The best way to judge Season 15 builds is not simply by looking at the highest leaderboard clears.
Torment 12 is a much more useful benchmark for the majority of players.
A build does not need to compete for the world record to be considered strong. If it can comfortably farm Torment 12, defeat endgame bosses, complete the Season Journey, and progress through the Pit, it already provides everything most players need.
This is where Sorceress, Druid, Necromancer, and Paladin have become much more competitive.
Builds that ranked poorly in Season 14 can now perform significantly better because of the combination of Core Stat scaling and seasonal power.
For example, Frozen Orb Sorceress may no longer deserve the extremely low rankings it received in older tier lists. With the right investment, it can now provide strong damage and reliable endgame performance.
The same principle applies across the other three classes.
Don't Confuse Leaderboard Meta With General Viability
There is an important distinction between best build for extreme pushing and best class for general endgame gameplay.
Barbarian, Rogue, and Warlock may still have an advantage when it comes to pushing the highest possible Tower or Pit floors.
But that represents a very small portion of the player base.
For the average player, a build that clears Torment 12 quickly, survives difficult encounters, and farms efficiently is already more than powerful enough.
This is why calling Sorceress, Druid, Necromancer, or Paladin “bad” simply because they aren't dominating the top leaderboard is misleading.
Best Ways to Optimize These Underrated Classes
The first priority is maximizing Core Stat investment.
Because the Season 15 scaling system increases the damage gained from cheap D4 Gold primary stats, high-quality gear with substantial Core Stat rolls becomes even more valuable.
